First Grade Celebrates Kansas Day
Posted on 01/29/2016
The first grade classes celebrated Kansas Day on Friday, January 29th. The students rotated to each classroom learning about different Kansas symbols. They learned about the buffalo in Miss Eden's room, the Jayhawk in Mrs. Owen's room and the sunflower in Mrs. Hedges' room. For their snack, each class made homemade butter and ate it with Mrs. Diveley's homemade bread. The also enjoyed eating homemade Rock Candy (Recipe courtesy of Darlene Sanders).
